In tribute to the Queen of badfic , slash and plagiarism, Cassie Claire. We have decided to name this chapter "Draco Rodentus" in honour of her terrible misuse of the Latin language.

CHAPTER 7: Draco Rodentus

Narcissa tapped her long nails on the mahogany dressing table in her room.

She had just received a long letter by owl from Draco and was not very happy with the contents. He had complained about the lack of sweets and other such goodies that she should have been sending them and he even had the nerve to bring up that stupid Bitch of a charms teacher. "Lady Ivy seems to care about me more than you do, he had written. Damn that woman, first she had caught her husbands attention and now her son, why wouldnt she just leave.

It was also getting harder and harder for her to keep Lucius happy without Draco as a constant reminder of why he needed her. He was becoming more volatile by the day and questioning her every move as though he suspected her of plotting against him. She had given him a powerful son and Heir, but that didnt seem to be enough anymore. He wanted more and more darkness around him and with her limited powers she was hard put to give them to him.

She stood up and went to the window, looking out across the expansive gardens.

If I loose Draco, she thought, I loose him and everything I have. I have to stop that. She truly had no idea why these two women were a thorn in her side, but she intended to remove it, no woman would get her hands on her Draco. Narcissa was like a cat on the prowl for smaller prey, she just had no idea the birds she was stalking had very, VERY sharp talons.

Ivy glanced at Osanna and quirked her brows. "Well, Malfoy didn't seem to pleased."

Osanna was still somewhere between the countries of shock and anger. "There will be hell to pay tomorrow."

Ivy chuckled and nodded, to Osanna's shock, she did not seem to be registering what had just happened.

Osanna didn't think Ivy was this oblivious.

"Ivy...dear........."

Ivy turned around, still chuckling after the open door. "Hmm, yes?"

"Do you have any idea what just happened?"

Ivy tilted her head and shrugged. "We got all the information we needed?"

Osanna stared at Ivy in disbelief. "NO!.........Draco.... he............." Osanna trailed off as if she were confusing herself; in reality she just couldnt find the words.

Ivy furrowed her brows and blinked, like a stunned turtle. "Draco what?"

Osanna took a deep breath. "Ivy, that wasn't just some sympathy...he...I SAW IT! He's.........INFATUATED WITH YOU!"

Ivy laughed so hard she nearly doubled over, her hands grabbing the wall for support. "WHAT? Oh dear Osanna...please!"

Osanna shook her head, her layers of sapphire and lavender hair falling to frame her face. "I AM SERIOUS! Ivy I dont know HOW you missed it...but it was there...your insane if you didn't, THE LOOK ON HIS FACE! He looked as if he were in heaven!"

Ivy was stunned into silence, her eyes grew wide, and she fell silent.

"I'm telling you Ivy, Malfoy Junior has it for you!"

Ivy gasped, as if choking for air and Osanna, despite her better judgment fell into a fit of giggles. Ivy had no common sense when it came to noticing these things.

"IVY CARIAD!" Osanna giggled pointing at her..."DRACO HAS THE HOTS FOR YOU SOMETHING FIERCE!"

Ivy stood rigid in disbelief.... how exactly had she failed to notice this?

Osanna was laughing madly when Ivy heard a noise at the window on the other side of the room. "It had BETTER NOT be Weasley again, I think he will be in enough trouble tomorrow!"

Ivy approached the window, Osanna still in giggles. "Hmmmmph" was all she said as she thrust the window open, wand at the ready. All she found however was an owl, a bag hanging from its leg. She quirked her brows again and extended her arm, the owl promptly landed and Ivy plucked the bag from it, then allowed it back into the night.

The envelope was a deep, rich blood-red, and once again Osanna's name was on it. Ivy stomped over to her best friend and waved the envelope in her face, hoping it would end her mad fit of giggles.

Osanna looked up, her eyes widened. "OPEN IT!"

Ivy shook her head. "Stop laughing at me first!" Osanna did so, promptly jumping up from the floor as she followed Ivy to the table.

Ivy turned the envelope over a few times and then shrugged, she broke the seal with one emerald green nail and turned it over, the contents falling out on the table.

A piece of red parchment with the same writing from the last time slid out, it simply read

" To the Lovely Osanna,

The reddest of rubies to bring a smile to your lips...I wish only I could see it."

Ivy quirked her brows and pushed the red satin bag across to Osanna, who opened it, out fell a necklace so delicate it seemed the chain was made of spider-silk, rubies in a deep, bloody red dangled and sparkled in a glimmering waterfall. She gasped as she turned it over in her hands; it tumbled across her pale fingertips like water.

"What in the...." Ivy muttered..."All right Osanna, now I AM JEALOUS!" Ivy huffed softly..."Someone has designs on you, and all I get is a 15 year old student who you say has a CRUSH on me!"

Osanna turned her attention from the necklace and looked at Ivy. "Oh it was much more than a crush...I could tell."

Ivy smirked. "Oh thanks, well that's consolation!"

Osanna pouted and Ivy shook her head, she couldnt stay mad at her for more than 60 seconds at a time.

"All right, fine let's put that necklace on and admire it eh?"

Ivy helped Osanna slip the necklace on and the two of them admired it in the candlelight.

"It looks beautiful, as if I expected any less" Ivy said.

Osanna was glowing, and Ivy smiled softly, allowing her the moment...even if Osanna were the beautiful one who cared? She touched the necklace on her friend's neck and grinned.

"Just like a princess" she murmured.

Osanna grinned and chuckled. "Dont be so disenchanted, if I am right about Draco, you will be getting a gift tomorrow, it most likely however will not come in the form of jewelry."

Ivy rolled her eyes. "I am not sure I really WANT to know! We do however need to discuss a way to get this information to Lucius!"

Osanna nodded. "Tomorrow, after class...for now a cup of tea and bed."

Ivy nodded, giving in though she wasnt tired.

Come the next morning, Draco Malfoy was livid, absolutely livid. Ronald Weasley was going to get his.... and in the worst possible way. He would have to wait until Potions of course, allowing him the opportunity, after all Snape hated Weasley. Malfoy gripped his wand so hard his knuckles nearly went white.

"Come out, come out wherever you are.... YOU LITTLE RED-HAIRED FREAK!" He yelled down the corridor. No one was going to ruin this for him....

He turned the corner and that was when he saw it. The two Weasley twins...........were tacking up a sign in front of the Slytherin common room entrance.

He walked over to look. It read:

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry would like to announce

The wedding of Ladies Osanna October and Ivy Cariad

And Master Draco Malfoy.

He seethed looking around for the Weasley twins he found the corridor empty but the sound of approaching feet made him run without even thinking of tearing down the notice. His face on fire, he fell through the door into potions with a disapproving look from Professor Snape.

Ron Weasley whispered as Draco pushed past, "What made you late? Another romantic tryst with those..." His words stopped as Draco's elbow knocked viciously into his head.

The lesson continued and Draco found himself looking for ways to get at Ron. Eventually his opportunity came. At the critical point in the shrinking potion you had to add a teaspoon of powdered Moke liver. Draco pulled out his wand and pointed it at Ron's hand, instead of a teaspoon; Ron added a whole jar full.

The reaction was spectacular. The potion now strengthened by a factor of 100, began to shrink everything it touched. The cauldron shrunk and the potion spilled on to the desk which inturn shrank. Snape was furious. "Ronald Weasley you blithering idiot," He shouted storming over to their table, "Three weeks of detention and 100 points from Griffendor"

Ron wanted to die.

He followed Draco out of the class and down the hallway. Waiting until they were alone, he pulled out his wand and pointed it at Draco "Morpheus Rodenta" He shouted. A gush of blue sparks and Draco felt his body twitch all over. His ears and nose were stretching and he felt something moving on his ass. Draco Malfoy was infact now a rat. But only in the tail and face department, Ron had yet again screwed up a spell.

Draco let out a squeek of horror and anger and ran for the house of the only person he wanted to help him.
