Chapter 26: Part One: Home Sweet Home

So good to see people are still reading. So on to the fic.

After terrifying the guard at wand weigh in again the two women were back in the restricted section at the Ministry of Magic shuffling and scanning dusty old parchments from the time of Dumbledores trials for Headmaster of Hogwarts.

This is never ending Osanna complained throwing a sheaf of papers back in a random pile. She heard Ivy calling from the back of the room where she had gone in search of more documents that they had not yet read. Following the sound of her voice she found her standing waiving a parchment triumphantly. Well? What is it?

Its what weve been looking for! A transcript from a witness for the trials Osanna tried to read the paper over Ivys shoulder.

The transcript told of how the other candidate for Headmaster had actually outscored Dumbledore in all tests but on the return trip from the North had disappeared. There had only been two witnesses to this; Dumbledore and the official witness from the Ministry of Magic who had been entrusted to guide the two candidates back to Britain. The circumstances of the disappearance had been very strange, with Dumbledore having no memory of the events left, the victim of an obliviatus curse and the MoM official had been left ranting. He claimed that Dumbledore had attacked his defeater and had murdered him. There was no evidence at the scene of the crime to indicate what had happened and the lack of Memory from Dumbledore and then only momentary fits of sanity from the official; had left the Ministry investigators with the conclusion that whoever had attacked the new Headmaster was also responsible for the state of the two witnesses. They had never found the culprit and had appointed Dumbledore Headmaster.

When finished reading Osannas eyes flashed and a broad smile spread across her face. Dumbledore did it. He killed that man to become Headmaster.

Yes, Ivy replied, her own face filled with joy, I think he did too and a little more investigation and we will have our reason for Dumbledore to be sacked.

Lets go home, Osanna said in a quiet voice, Im tired of London and I miss George. Ivy hugged her friend tight and whispered

Lets. Im worried about Draco and what he did after the quidditch match and would love to be at home for Christmas. She slipped the parchment under her suit and they picked up their belongings and headed back.

On their way along the corridor they passed the huge glass case that contained four objects. One from each of the original founders of Hogwarts. There was Griffendors cloak; Hufflepuffs glasses; Ravenclaws broom and Slytherins wand.

Ivy paused along side it and stared at Salazar Slytherins wand. I wish I could get something like that wand for Draco, hed absolutely love it

So why dont you? Osanna winked. Ivy grinned and looked up to the weigh desk. Reaching over and unbuttoning the top four buttons of Osannas dress she whispered Distract that fool for me? Osanna grinned in reply and nodded.

The guard watched her walk down the hall towards him, unsure as to whether to be afraid or not, but unable to take his eyes off of the womans body. Stopping in front of the desk Osanna bent over and placed her hands on either side of the chubby man. Smiling sweetly she sighed softly and the mans mouth dropped open.

Ive always been so fascinated by guards, its such a responsible job She toyed with his jacket, I mean knowing that youre here makes me feel so much safer when Im inside

Ivy drew a small circle on the glass with her wand and then tapped the center with her cane. The piece fell out and she reached in and took the wand, replacing it with another she had conjured. Placing the real wand in her pocket and replacing the glass, retracing the circle with her wand in reverse to seal it back in place marched up behind Osanna and put a hand on her shoulder. I think this man has enough work to do without you hassling him dear, Osanna snapped up and they left quietly, the guard watching them oblivious to anything that had happened.

The next morning was Christmas Eve and having packed their bags they checked out and returned to the public toilets where they crammed themselves into the small cubicle and felt the portkey tugging them back home. A moment after they had left an Owl started to flap at what had been their window. It made as much noise at it could trying to stir the women and only succeeded in only scaring the cleaning woman. Then it got angry, it had been told that this message was urgent by Snape and so continued on to the MoM to try and find the women there.

Draco toyed with the paper wrapping the sweets and not feeling the warning spark tore it off and set about eating the entire packet as a source of comfort. Sestine watched him from the other side of the room silently, but Draco felt her eyes on him constantly. Damn shes annoying, He thought as he ate another chocolate frog.

Throwing her bags on the floor and flopping on the couch Osanna was pounced by George who settled down on top of her, determined that if he lay on her she would not be able to leave again. Ivy made Coffee and while they drank it pored over the Ministry Parchment again before tucking it in their hiding space in the fireplace brickwork. I suppose someone should tell Snape were back She looked pointedly at Osanna who groaned. Not yet we can have one day of peace and solitude cant we after Londons streets? Ivy laughed and sat down next to her, Okay, but well leave the lights on so that anyone can see that were here if they really want to look

Draco was happily nearly through the entire box of sweets when it started. His stomach lurched and roiled, protesting loudly. He blinked and placed his hand over his mouth, hoping desperately he wasnt going to get ill. It was Christmas Eve, he couldnt get ill, HE WOULDNT ALLOW IT! He fought back the nasty, lurching feeling in his gut...no! Not now! His vision swam before his eyes and he felt himself doubling over.........in the space of a heartbeat Sestine was next to him.

"Draco are you allrigh..."

"PISS OFF!" He screamed as loud as he could, he clutched at his stomach and tried to ignore the burning feeling that was enveloping him, a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

"Draco let me...."

Then, all of a sudden, as quickly as it had started, it stopped. Draco blinked several times, and then quickly stood up, as if trying to restore his dignity.

"I'm fine, was just my stomach."

He took a deep breath and seated himself back in the chair he had been in, the last thing he wanted was Sestine fawning all over him, what was her problem anyway?
