Chapter 28: Part Two

Draco fought with emotions, unsure whether to be furious at his mother or just to give in to the intense pleasure of feeling Ivys naked body through her thin silk robe.

There was a fluttering at the window and Osanna reached it just in time to see an owl fly away. Narcissas.

The owl flew into the boudoir where Narcissa stood glowing. She was pregnant, she felt the childs force inside of her and now here was the Owl to tell her that her mistake of a child was dead. Things were working perfectly to plan. The ability to hear the talk of Owls had been one of the magical powers that she had stolen.

The owl clicked and hooted animatedly and as she understood her face grew dark.

DAMN THOSE TWO BITCHES, She screamed, Ill fucking make them pay for screwing with my plans. She gathered her stolen wand and a few choice daggers, throwing on her cloak she marched out the door, receiving a strange glance from Lucius on her way past his study and made for Hogwarts.

It was time to leave for the Christmas dinner. They had planned to all go together but when it came time to get ready Draco was feeling a tad sickly again. Ivy insisted on staying to care for Draco, not that he minded that at all, she also insisted that Osanna should go alone. Osanna bitched for a while about it and then knowing her friend to have made up her mind reluctantly agreed and had changed into a black velvet dress with a silver waist cincher and opera gloves.

She handed Draco a mug of hot tea infused with the ingredients she had used to heal him the night before and patting George, shot Ivy a rueful look. I still dont see why I have to go alone, I hate these things as you well know. Ivy smirked and whispered in her ear, Well I thought you might want a little time with Severu She never had time to finish her sentence as Osanna shoved her away and stormed out the door in mock rage. Ivy laughed and sat down to play wizards chess with Draco.

Osanna pushed open the door to the Great Hall and marched in. Three lower year Hufflepuffs immediately shrank down in their seats. Snapes head snapped up and he jumped to his feet. Miss October! I had no idea that you were returned already from London. Here sit down. He pulled out the chair next to him and the three Hufflepuffs and she slid into it. Im afraid we are waiting on Draco Malfoy, he seems to have forgotten about the time.

Osanna smiled, a little too sweetly at the Hufflepuffs, making them cower even lower and shook her head, Draco will not be attending, he was overcome with a particularly vicious illness last night and he is resting in my cottage, Ivy is there to look after him so she will not be attending either.

The food appeared and they began to eat. Snape enquiring after their trip to London and doing his best to be the jolly host, a role that he was obviously finding most uncomfortable. Across from Osanna sat Sestine. She studied Osanna curiously during the meal, a point that Osanna did not miss; what was that girls problem? She wondered.

Narcissa approached the cottage and peered through the kitchen window. There sat Draco and Ivy in front of the fire, enjoying their most bloody and violent game of chess. That Bitch, She thought, Shell fucking pay. With one of them gone itll be all the easier, wont have her little lover to back her up; the stupid cow.

She went around to the back door. The curses only came into effect when neither of the women was present so she had nothing to fear from that.

She gently pushed open the door with her wand drawn ready for work. George was out for an evening stroll and so nowhere to sound the alarm.

She counted to three slowly and sprang through the kitchen door.

Ivy had her back to the door and so her first sign that there was something wrong was a look of horror on Dracos face. He sprang up and Narcissa stopped him dead with an imobillus curse. She threw her full weight on Ivy, throwing her cane and wand into the fire where it hissed with a green smoke and flame. Narcissa threw her down on the floor and her head crashed against the stone hearth. Narcissa stood and aimed her wand, Crucius Pain tore through Ivys body, she writhed and contorted, her screams silenced by the incredible torment that wracked her body. The stolen power that Narcissa used was all focused in on the unforgivable curse and Draco found himself free to move again. He threw himself at his mother who, adrenalin coursing through her veins, tossed him aside like an annoying fly. He lay dumbstruck on the floor and then ran through the back door and out on to the grounds.

CRUCIUS The insane woman screamed again as Ivy tried to fight the curse. Ivy fell to the floor again and a bloody tear appeared in the skin of her head.

Draco ran as fast as he could in his weakened state. His only hope was to reach the Great Hall and get Osanna. He fell through the doors, his breath painfully catching in his throat as he stumbled towards the table. IIvy He choked on the words, Ivyattackcru The toll of the poisoning overcame him and he collapsed to the tiles in a dead feint.

Osanna and Snape had jumped to their feet as soon as Draco had entered the Hall. Hearing his words, Osanna went white and fire burned in her eyes. Snape quickly moved to Draco and seeing that he could give them no more information, left him in the care of Madame Pomfrey and followed Osanna as she stormed out of the Hall. The other students curious as to what was going on followed them at a safe distance.
